Jefferson Park Mixed Pairs #
Saturday May 17th provided the hottest day of the year and eight teams of Mixed Pairs toiled all day in the sun to determine who would be the Champions.
Richard Broad and Susan Parker won all their games to become the Champions, congratulations to them. Its and Nancy Nishikawa beat Chris Davis and Kat Marriner to secure second place. This put Chris and Kat into a tie with Jean and Howard Syder for third which was decided by plus points with Chris and Kat prevailing.
At the end of the day all the teams were looking forward to a deserved rest, everyone was tired as we are not used to this amount of heat after our very cool spring.

Doug beat Chris Davis in a very close match to win the Jefferson Park Singles Championship.
Chris Davis held on to 2nd place by beating Its Nishikawa on plus points.
A very competitive tournament was held over the weekend under very pleasant conditions.
Some of the less experienced bowlers gave their opponents some scary moments during the tournament and showed that they will be a force to be reckoned with in future years.

When all the plus points had been counted to determine the final result it came out that Its Nishikawa and Lew Storm were the winners with Rand Coburn and Rodger Green as runners up. Third place went to Richard Krueger and Nancy Nishikawa.
