Where is the club?
Jefferson Park Lawn Bowling Club is on top of Beacon Hill in Seattle. The clubhouse and greens are located west of the Jefferson Park Golf Course driving range and north of the nine-hole golf course.
Our address is 4103 Beacon Ave. S. (between Columbian Ave. and Spokane St), but access to the club is a little tricky. You turn into the entrance of the Jefferson Park Golf clubhouse and follow the road as it curves right and then left and you’ll see the greens on your right. Keep following the road as it turns right and runs behind the clubhouse to a small circular parking lot.
You may also access the club by bicycle or on foot via a paved path from the Jefferson Park Community Center.
If you are taking the bus, Metro #36 is your route. Just ask the driver to be let off at the Community Center and the club is a short walk from there.

When can I try lawn bowling?
The club welcomes visitors! If you drop by and see people out on the greens, it is very likely that someone would be delighted to show you how to bowl. We also have specific times when instruction for drop-in and new bowlers is available. For our 2007 season they are:
Fridays 6-9pm (Please check the calendar. Some Friday nights are booked for private rentals. On these nights opening bowling and instruction are not available).
Remember to bring flat-soled shoes!
How much does it cost?
Your first lesson or session is free. After your first visit we ask that you pay $10 per session to bowl if you’d rather not become a member. Membership is an incredibly affordable $75 per year, so we hope you’ll join us.
